All drawings were done on sight and live at the Cha Cha Club.

Where the women are young, wild, fashionable, friendly and fun.

I first make the drawings live at the club. I carry a small sketchbook to chronicle the people and scenes. Then at my studio I will finished them trying to stay as true to the original drawings as possible . ("the line is the truth" tb). I love painting but in the drawing lies the true adventure . Later sometimes the paintings take on there own life as the Ladies go off romping across too different worlds, such as The Paris Olympics or they join the Resistance. The finished paintings will have possible used a variety of Mixed Media techniques. Barnes describes himself as “the last of the great gaucho painters”

The Ladies Of The Cha Cha drawings may be coming to an end . But I never forget the honor, the ups and downs and the exciting adventures of hanging with them !!
